Delay Switch

Here's how they work:

• The coating allows water to permeate the seed as a function of temperature and time. 
• The coating regulates the water to achieve a delay in emergence compared to uncoated seed by specific Heat Unit (HU) delays.
• Currently used in the Pollinator Plus^™ products by seed corn producers.
  • Two products currently available, one at 100 HU delay and one at a 50 HU delay. 
  • These two products are generally used in conjunction with uncoated seeds as required by the seed producer.
• This delay is also being utilized in the Relay^™ Crop system.
  • In this system, soybeans are coated to delay emergence by 15 - 20 days when planted into winter wheat in early spring.
